LegalMike at Young Bar Congress: ChatGPT as assistant for tomorrow’s lawyer

During the Young Bar Congress, we guided 750 lawyers through an interactive workshop on using ChatGPT as a legal assistant. We provided insight into the possibilities and revealed the invisible limitations of this technology. We also demonstrated live how hashtagChatGPT can be used safely and effectively in legal practice.

Among other things, we demonstrated:
✔️ How ChatGPT can help reduce blind spots.
✔️ Our Legal Prompting Guide.
✔️ How ChatGPT can be used to generate a liability clause from a coaster.

Additionally, with hashtagLegalMike, we looked ahead to the future of legal research. We showed how our proactive AI assistant guides lawyers and supports them in developing important legal skills.

Watch the video for an impression of the day!

We enjoyed the presentations by the other speakers. For instance, Roderick Lucas from Moonlit.ai explained generative AI in an accessible and original way, Mirjam van der Sluis spoke enthusiastically about the use of AI in the legal department of the City of Amsterdam, and Ayca Szapora fascinated the participants by talking about how the brain works, effective communication, and social connection.

A special word of thanks to the Stichting Jonge Balie Nederland for the excellent organization and to the lawyers for their enthusiasm and the valuable conversations during the drinks reception and the party.

Specifically for the Young Bar Congress, we have prepared a legal prompting hashtagCheatsheet, which we will be sending to the participants in the coming days.

Would you also like to receive this Cheatsheet? You still can. Follow us and leave a message in the comments. We will share the cheatsheet by this coming Sunday at the latest.
