Legal Business Developer

What will you be doing?

As a Business Developer at LegalMike, you will work at the intersection of tech, law, and commerce. You are the primary point of contact for potential clients: lawyers, legal counsels, and attorneys interested in our AI solutions. You help them understand the value LegalMike brings to their practice and guide them toward becoming customers.

In this role:

  • Communicate daily with jurists, legal counsel, and lawyers who have signed up for our AI solutions;
  • You provide explanations about our tool, identify client needs, and determine where LegalMike can add value;
  • You schedule demos, training sessions, and appointments for pilot evaluations;
  • You work closely with the marketing, product, and legal teams to translate insights from client conversations into improvements;
  • You ensure structure in your sales approach via HubSpot, maintain your pipeline accurately, and manage your own workflow;
  • You contribute ideas for the commercial growth of LegalMike and proactively seize opportunities, from collaborations to process improvements;
  • The core of your responsibilities: Converting market interest into actual paying customers.

Who are you?

You are a professional who thinks in terms of opportunities, communicates easily, and establishes contact effortlessly with a wide range of stakeholders. You enjoy working with a product that genuinely adds value to the legal field and are eager to help build an ambitious team. You understand how B2B sales work but see yourself more as an advisor than a hard seller.

Essential requirements for this position are:

  • A completed Master’s degree in the legal field (or currently in the final year);
  • Higher professional (HBO) or university (WO) level of thinking, preferably with a commercial education;
  • Excellent command of the Dutch language.

Furthermore, it is a strong advantage if you have experience with:

  • Working with HubSpot or another CRM system to organize your sales process;
  • AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, or other generative AI in your professional or personal life.

From Groningen, we work every day on groundbreaking technology at the intersection of generative AI and legal practice. You will work in a multidisciplinary team of lawyers, developers, designers, and data specialists. Together, we passionately build products that impact the legal practice of tomorrow.

Employment conditions

  • Salary: €3,800 – €4,500 gross per month, depending on experience;
  • Employment: Full-time (32 to 40 hours per week);
  • Holidays: 27 vacation days + public holidays;
  • Location: Hybrid (at least 2 days per week in Groningen);
  • Laptop: MacBook or laptop of your choice;
  • Travel allowance: Public transport or mileage allowance;
  • Team activities: Gaming (including board games), drinks, and dinners.
